What do sex education classes really teach?

I have a cousin who’s about 16 and he told me that in sex education class, it teaches you methods to abstain from sex. He said that the class actually teaches you to masturbate as one of the ways to abstain from sex until you actually mature enough to understand the practice. Is this true, or is my he just telling me to do something I shouldn’t?

How do I become a sex education teacher?

What would I have to do to become a sex ed teacher? And is it possible to teach only that subject?
