I own three kittens, which I recently received from a neighbor. I don’t have any experience with kittens. I am still confused about the sex of the three.
I don’t want to take them to the vet yet because they are too young.

Well kittens are just like people. If they have “balls” so to say under their tail their boys, if they don’t their little girls.

you should be able to tell by looking in “the area”. If you cant tell, just wait untill they are older and you will be able to.

haha yea i caught 12 outside and managed to get rid of them all but if they have a little lump its a boy if its flat with a little slit its a girl

Well there are a couple of ways u can determine what sex is ur kitten. If u look around the bottom of the tail there should be a hole and it that hole has two balls in it then it’s definitly a boy. But if that hole is just flat then it’s definitly a girl. hope that helps u.

If they’re still young, you can’t tell at first. In a few weeks, or days (depending on the age they are now), you should be able to tell the difference. They’re very much like humans in that general area of their being. Hope it helps. c:

If you feel like web surfing, here is a site that has pictures to help you determine what they are.

If they have little bumps in the front, theyre probably males. However, femals have the same until about 4 mos. of age.

It might be hard te tell if you’re inexperienced in this, escpecially if all the kittens happen to be the same sex and you can’t compare. With the boys there is more space between the anus and the peeing hole, which is just a little round hole (the space is where the balls will be) and there is hair in that space.
With girls the openings are much closer together, the space between the holes is hairless (in small kittens) and the vulva (the hole furthest away from the tail) has the shape of a small vertical stripe.
If you still can’t tell (most) vets can.
Good luck with your new babies!

Thats simple if they have balls they r boys if they dont they r girls.

if they have testicles they are a boy…if not they are a girl…I’d take them to the vet now.

Well it’s easy to sex them and the best time you can check is when they are walking around. When they are too young it’s hard to tell. Now what you do is look at their body parts are the parts close together or is there some space in between. If the parts are close together that is a female and the farther apart they are that is a male. Here is a website that can show you what to look for.

Lift the tail, if it looks like an upside-down exclamation point, it’s female.
If you have a calico, keep in mind that 95% of calicos are female. If you have a yellow tabby, 95% of them are male. So, if you have either, look at their area and you’ll know what it’s supposed to look like, then you can compare to the others.

hi:)
well all you have to do is lift their tail and …take a look…the difference is obvious…
