I think you can have the coil fitted which acts like an emergency contraceptive - best speak to your doctor about the possibility of that really.

Seriously though - take it from someone who has been through an abortion and had a baby that wasn’t planned - there is no easy way to deal with an unplanned pregnancy - it’s much better to take a pill and have peace of mind.

Edit - just had a look online and you can have a copper IUD fitted up to 5 days after sex - get down your GP’s today!

It’s pretty much too late to do the morning after pill. All you can really do now is hope that you aren’t pregnant. In a few more days, go get a pregnancy test. If you’re pregnant, go see your doctor to discuss your options. If you’re not, thank whatever you believe in and promise yourself to be more careful in future. At least use a barrier method like condoms. What I do to be extra safe is I’m on the pill AND I use condoms. Your future is at risk here. You have to stay smart. This late after sex, there is unfortunately no way to prevent pregnancy, just to terminate it. If your egg was fertilized then, it is already starting to implant and divide so things like medications or douching won’t help (douching doesn’t help anyway.)

So your best bet is to wait until you are expecting your period and take a home pregnancy test to see if you are indeed pregnant (they won’t work before then.)
