While it may be true that neither one of you are currently married, the military might take actions against the military member that might not be consistant with civil law: The military can do MANY things that civilian law can't. Bottom line for me, find someone 18 or older. Local law defines age of consent for the other person, I think. Anyway, "age of consent" applies to sex, marriage, contracts, etc., not to simple dating. It's not illegal just to hold hands with a 16 year old, except in Islamic countries. Where is this girl again?
